Crafty but..
Garb is very lovely and my granddaughter loves it. However, what came and was pictured on the webiste are divergent. Did not better b conclude with tiara or necklace and did not look like the impression. Very unhappy about that.

Keep your VHS tapes, folks!I looked forward to this DVD publicity release for months and snagged a reproduction the first day it was to hand. My excitation turned to put off, however, as I began to take note of it. For many years,before the advent of the compacted disc, you could not beg bum or take a transcribe of this soundtrack,and I made the gaffe of loaning mine out.Even then you could only get it from a "individual TV proffer". Acknowledge gratitude goodness for CDs! I own both the prototypical Julie Andrews model as well as this one. I found Lesley Warren to be an superlative Cinderella, although she lacked the profundity and rank of Julie Andrews. Stuart Damon as the prince is tops,and I found the haunting "Loneliness of evening". It is too bad that the technology we have today and have had since the 60's wasnt around when the pattern was done... all that remains other than the recordings are some flocculent clips of Andrew's Canada display. I enjoyed the supporting company of the '65 number,first of all "why would a partner" and of passage "Its practical" with Celeste Holm. An all around benefit recording!
A vivid, funny "Cinderella"
If "Cinderella" is blemished-concur R&H -- John Simon has called it "anodyne" -- it is very pleasing R&H. Even after 37 years the understudy CBS paramount has a burn that suffuses this album. It's cruder but livelier than the 1957 interest as this is a correct soundtrack album, distant from Goddard Lieberson's strictly studio model; the throw away is more zingy, likewise John Na's conducting. The faults are the same; as Alec Wilder said of the beatified "Do I True-love You Because You're Pleasant?", the composer seems to have changed stations before the ending. But it is still eximious fun, a rare blue blood found perhaps in "Floret Drum Performance" and not much else. Note: the engineers clear to evidence this not for the stereo systems of 2002 but for the smidgin TV speakers of the mid-sixties, hence the undamaged is quite compressed.
